CUI JINGZHE EXHIBTION
Cui Jingzhe, pen-named Cui Wei, was born in 1980 in Laoting, Tangshan City, Hebei Province of China. He graduated from the Department of Traditional Chinese Painting of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. He then continued his education for postgraduate at Chinese National Academy of Arts majoring in Chinese Figure Painting.
Cui Jingzhe holds numerous positions in both academic and art associations. He is currently an member of Chinese Artists Association. Furthermore, he is also an council member of China Hue Art Association and Chinese Youth Artists Association. He is a creative researcher of the College of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, as well as the executive vice-president of Hebei Academy of Fine Arts. In addition to those roles, he became specially-appointed professor of Shanghai Armed Police Command College.
Cui Jingzhe held personal exhibitions in China’s mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, as well as in Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Korea, United Arab Emirates, USA, Russia, Belarus etc. Cui Jingzhe’s works have been collected by Zhong-nan-hai Compound, Japan-China Friendship Association, Toyota Motor Corporation, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Headquarters, Japan Osaka Art Gallery any many other institutions. Several TV stations have shot feature films for him. He even once acted as judge and appreciation teacher for some TV shows where he makes appearance many times.
He has successfully published several albums. His works have been published on magazines such as China Art Weekly, Chinese Painting Study, Art Circle, Times Arts and China Profiles many times.
Mr. Cui Jingzhe’s work Bride clinched a deal of RMB 1.49 million (around $ 243,107 USD) in Beijing Poly Auction in June 2013, ranking No. 1 among TOP 10 Chinese ink painting artists under 35 years old. He is also No. 1 among TOP 10 current deals on the auction market. According to the latest report of ARTPRICE, a global leading arts market information provider, Mr. Cui Jingzhe takes the 10th place in world rankings among young artists.
