Pan Xiuqi was born in 1948 in Huangpo District, Wuhan City, Hubei province of China. He graduated from department of Oil Painting at Hubei Institute of Fine Arts, as well as China Central Academy of Fine Arts Fuxin Printmaking class. Now he works as the executive Vice-President of Huangshi Institute of Painting and Calligraphy, Art Researcher, member of Artists Association of America(Asia), Hubei Branch of Chinese Artists Association, Honoary President of Hubei Normal University, Deputy Director of Huangshi State Archives Bureau of Art Professional Committee, expert with outstanding contributions in Huang Shi. His works of oil paints, traditional Chinese paintings and printmaking have participated in many national and provincial Art awards and many of them have been published in major newspapers and magazines. The oil painting "Wujin and Sun", "Deep in the Ground" have won the provincial and ministerial award; at the same time, they were collected by the Coal Museum of China and took to France and Poland for Exhibition; Pan Xiuqi's traditional Chinese painting "Qinglian Figure" painting "Yuan Wang" have won a silver and a bronze in Hubei provinces' Calligraphy and Painting competition respectively. A large number of his works were collected by the groups and individuals in the United States, Denmark, Japan, HongKong, Taiwan. The original passages of Pan XiuQi once participated in ShangHai Art Fair and held the solo exhibition in BeiJing798 Art Zone. Furthermore, ShangHai Qiaoyi, BeiJing Dezi, Beijing798 Art Zone and Wuhan Zhiguang Gallery all act as the sales agencies for his works and many cultural sectors both inside and outside of china also store up his original works.
